This week, Chloe Desjardins kicked off Youth National Championships for our team with a 6 for 6 performance. At her first Nationals – second meet evah! – she totaled 100kg/220# and qualified for her first American Open Finals.

Nora Paolini knew she had to push herself in a competitive 45 session, opening with her heaviest lifts to date. She fought hard, didn’t give up and left everything out there finishing with a 89 total.

Emily Paolini finished the day with another 6 for 6 performance. She added 13kg to her total – making PRs across the board – to total 100kg/220#. This qualified her for AO Finals as well.

Adrienne Li started Monday with her best meet ever. She went 6 for 6, added 12kg/26# to her total, finished with a 108kg/238# total and set every New England record for the 55kg 16-17 class while qualifying for AO Finals.

Lucas Silva followed, putting together his best meet to date. He just missed a 57/125# snatch which would’ve secured a bronze in the snatch, crushed a big 70kg/154# PR CJ and added 5kg to his competition total. He also holds the honor of being the first young man to compete nationally for our club.

Penelope Desjardins keeps on pushing herself and becoming an incredible competitor and athlete in her own right. She hit a competition PR snatch of 57kg/125#, an easy 67kg/147# CJ and crushed a 70kg/154# clean, just missing the jerk. Her poise led to her matching her best competition total.

Ella Gamache put on a show. She battled with the best 49s in the country, taking 4th across the board in the snatch, CJ and total. She put herself in the position to take third in the CJ and just missed the jerk. Her 102kg/224# qualified her for Junior Nationals.

At her first Nationals, LJ Dickinson went 5 for 6, matching her competition snatch PR and setting a CJ PR of 65kg/143#. That also gave her a competition total PR of 117kg/257#.

Lifting at her last YNC, Rylie Rohloff hit competition PRs across the board. She had a snatch PR of 58kg/128#, a CJ PR of 80kg/176# for a 138kg/304# total.

Tim has been an incredible part of our community — always positive, funny, generous, and willing to help. His energy makes everyone around him better. Prototype of the Month is well deserved! Below he answers some questions about his time at PTS. 1.) Share your experience at Prototype This actually isn’t my first stint at Prototype - I’ve been around and worked out here a few times in my heyday. My very first legitimate class though, as a member, was 5am earlier this year and I was welcomed first by Nicole. You can all imagine how that interaction went… and I came back! Prototype is welcoming, fun, clean, and I’ve made amazing friends along the way. It is one of the best hours of my day. 2.) What is your favorite part about being at Prototype? Prototype is not just another workout but a mental reset for me, it fills my cup. 3.) What are your hobbies and activities? Activities mostly involve time with my family outside whenever we can, trips to Ptown and traveling all over for work. I have a hard time sitting still and typically keep a busy schedule. Mix in photography and interior design opportunities with fitness and family and I’d say that's my perfect mix. 4.) How has Prototype helped you or solved a problem for you? I work remotely so in person face to face conversation is something I’ve found I need for my mental health. I’m also super competitive so I tend to push a little harder when I workout with others. 5.) What are you continuing fitness goals to this point? I want to be a parent who can show up for their kids in every aspect of life, which also means physically. Staying fit is important to be able to keep up with them as we collectively get older. I am training for a few Hyrox races coming up but mostly just trying to maintain my current level of fitness for as long as possible. 6.)
