August 2026 Prototype's Of The Month

Prototypes of the Month
Juan Melgarejo & Melina Zamudio
A send-off from the 7 AM crew · Westborough → Colombia
Melina, Juan and the 7 AM crew at their going away party, hosted at Rob’s house.
They Didn’t Just Train Here. They Made the Place Better.
July was Juan Melgarejo and Melina Zamudio’s last month with us. They’re heading home to Colombia, and when our team sat down to choose this month’s Prototype of the Month, the conversation didn’t take long. It also didn’t land on one name. It landed on both of them.
Our coaches hand-select each Prototype of the Month based on work ethic, effort, attendance, and the overall energy someone brings to the gym. Juan and Melina check every box. But the one everybody kept coming back to was energy. The 7 AM class was a different room because they were in it — earlier, louder, warmer, more fun. That is not something a program can create. That comes from people.
So this one is part celebration and part thank you. Congratulations, you two. We are going to miss you.
In Their Own Words
What’s your favorite memory or moment at the gym?
“One of our favorite memories at Prototype was the Cinco de Mayo celebration. It was a fun event where we got to spend time together with the team, enjoy great conversations, and create lasting memories.
Our favorite part of Prototype is the team environment and the opportunities to connect outside of work. We always look forward to the team gatherings and celebrations because they bring everyone together and strengthen our relationships.
We are excited to continue improving, working hard, and growing alongside the team. We look forward to everything we can achieve together in the future.” 😊

Who at Prototype has made the biggest impact on you?
“The people who made the biggest impact on us were our 7 AM workout group. Seeing everyone show up consistently, support each other, and stay committed every day was very motivating.
We hope that we also made a positive impact on the group. We always tried to bring a good attitude, encourage others, and be part of the strong community that makes Prototype special.
The friendships, support, and dedication we shared with everyone are something we will always remember.” 😊

What are your hobbies outside Prototype?
“Outside the gym, Juan’s biggest hobby is soccer. He has always been a great player and loves spending time on the field, whether it’s playing competitively or just for fun.
For me, I love spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy traveling and taking as many trips as we can. Exploring new places, creating memories, and sharing experiences with the people I care about are some of my favorite things to do.
Together, we enjoy staying active, spending time with great people, and making the most of every opportunity to have new experiences.” 😊
How has training here helped you?
“Prototype has helped us in so many ways because the people here are always supportive. No matter what, there is always someone willing to help, encourage us, and have our backs when we need it.
It feels like more than just a gym — it’s a community. We’ve built great friendships, found support during challenges, and always felt welcomed. Knowing that people genuinely care and want to see each other succeed has made a big difference for both of us.
We’re very grateful to be part of such a positive and supportive environment.” ❤️💪
What are you training toward right now?
“Our current fitness goal is simple: keep moving and stay consistent. We believe that when you show up, put in the work, and stay committed, you will continue to improve over time.
We’re focused on building healthy habits, getting a little better every day, and enjoying the process. For us, consistency is the key to long-term success, both inside and outside the gym.” 💪😊
Simple beats complicated. That mindset is exactly why the 7 AM room ran the way it did.
“What inspires me the most is seeing all of you continue to work hard and stay committed to your goals. The dedication and effort from this community are truly motivating. We also hope to come back someday to visit and work out with everyone again. ❤️💪
Together, we believe that with consistency, a positive mindset, and support from others, you can achieve more than you think.” 😊
Hasta Pronto, Not Goodbye
Juan and Melina came to Prototype for the training. What they built here was something else entirely — a group of people who genuinely look forward to seeing each other at 7 AM, five days a week. The Cinco de Mayo party, the Wet Hot Summer Throwdown, Lift Off, and a going away party at Rob’s house that said more about this community than any of us could write down.
Colombia is lucky to get them back. Whenever you two are in Massachusetts, the door at 50 East Main is open and there will be a spot in the 7 AM class waiting.
Gracias por todo. Nos vemos pronto. 💪

We used AI tools to help organize their responses, format the page, and build the graphics so we could get this published while the send-off was still fresh. Bringing tools like this into our workflow is part of how we keep the storytelling, programming, and member communication at Prototype moving as fast as our community does.
